The painting's composition flows from the Choryang Waegwan on the right to the Choryang Guesthouse on the left. Several buildings within and around Choryang Waegwan can be identified, including the Customs House and Choryang Guesthouse. The painting expertly depicts the ships anchored at the port as well as the dynamic scenes of horses galloping through the open field on Youngdo Island. The depiction of people in detail is also noteworthy.
