    During the Japanese colonial period, this tableware with the inscription 'Contribution to the Country' was produced in Busan by the Japan Stoneware Manufacture Company. The inscription appears on the dish's body, along with illustrations of airplanes and bombs. The Japanese authorities supplied these wares as substitutes after requisitioning brassware for military purposes.
